The Challenge
Founded in 1946, Esco Imports is one of the premier importers of toys in the world. From a humble beginning they have grown slowly using traditional advertising and industry trade shows to acquire new customers and sell their products. Their website was poorly designed and did not allow management to control their ever changing inventory. SEO or online traffic was not even a consideration since it was felt that it would be unsuccessful.
The Solution
In 2003 Utah Web Services was contracted to re-build the companies website. In the process and after much industry research it was decided that incredible opportunity existed for the right toy importer. Management was presented with an extensive strategy including link building, micro-site deployment, new search engine friendly shopping cart and an aggressive permission marketing campaign. Esco has also enjoyed being able to open new lines, explore new sales channels and now at trade shows they are the dominant presenter and all to support their top ranked online assets.

- Esco Imports has had ore than 650,000 visitors to their online store in the last 12 months and have displayed more than 3-Million pages views.
- The revenues from the Internet have placed it as the top producing channel in the companies history.
- Esco is currently in the #1 position on Google for the coveted search term “Wholesale Toys” along with top 5 placements for more than 1500 keywords and long tail.
- With increased order flow the company has been able to negotiate significant new discounts from manufactures that are passed along to an ever expanding customer base.
