Seo goals for 2007

Happy New Year to all of our clients and guests! Each year tradition would suggest that we review the past year and then plan our future based on the successes and or failures of the road we have been on. They call this a New Year’s Resolution as we all know. Unfortunately these new resolutions or goals are easy to lose track of because there is no consequence or penalty for failure to achieve our stated objective.

At Utah Web Services and Utah SEO, our goals for the future are clear and so as to make no mistake about our intentions, I am going to list 5 of them here in this public format and then refer to them often to continue checking our path to success.

1. Client relations - Each of our over 1,000 clients are a big part of any strategic direction we decide to go as a company. We are putting in place some sophisticated communication tools to educate, empower, congratulate and thank our valued clients for their loyalty, friendship and continued trust. Together we will continue to grow in a controlled fashion. Our motto has always been “No project is too large for our team to handle and no client too small to get our attention.” That continues to be the case.

2. National Roll out - We have been strategically nurturing site operations in more than 40 major markets around the Country for the past 5 years. We are currently in the process of creating the appropriate Roll-out model to take our successful Web Design and SEO operations Nationwide to all of these large metropolis markets. Look out Chicago, Dallas, New York, Miami and Los Angeles. We be coming to town.

3. Creative SEO - We will continue to experiment with new and creative SEO methods on our own websites first. We are very cautious by nature and before we recommend that a client consider making any change in their site operations or pursue a stratregic direction, we have already tested the process and proven the results (or taken the hit) on our own sites and not experimented with client assets. I am always amazed at the “nerve” of some self named SEO companies that have been unsuccessful in getting their own sites ranked at all. Why in the world would they be able to something for someone else (and charge big for it) that they have been unable to do for themselves.

4. Seminar Series - Our seminar series for top executives will be launched in the first quarter of the year. Entitled “Internet Survival for CEO’s” we expect this to a major focus of our marketing efforts in 2007. Besides the constant lead flow that we enjoy from our own search engine optimization efforts and top placement. We expect to be very busy for the upcoming year. To that end we are always looking for SEO, design and database talent if you think your good enough to join our team, email us a bio and your history of success in the industry.

5. Staff Ski day - For the last 5 years we have had really good intentions to close the offices for a day and take the staff to Snowbird, but it has not happened because we always seem to be too busy handling the daily workload. We happen to office about 20-minutes from the “greatest” snow on earth. There is currently more than a 10-foot base of snow waiting for my staff of boarders, and okay, 2 traditional skiers, to go and take a break from algorithm changes, SERPs, Keywords and Long Tails and get our own tails on the slopes. It will happen soon gentlemen!

There you have it. I will keep you posted on our progress for this year and wish you success in achieving your own goals and lofty aspirations for the upcoming year. Good luck to all of us!
