Are you kidding me!!! A bunch of roomates get together, one accuses the other of eating his toaster strudel, accusations fly and escalate into a fight. One of the roomates grabs a knife from the kitchen and stabs his friend (well used to be friend) in the side. One is in the hospital in serious condition and the other in jail, bummer.
This whole scenario is unbelievably stupid. I am however more interested in the possible explanations from these guys to family, police, the landlord and all of their other friends on just what could possibly have happened to trigger this kind of idiocy.
I recently had a business owner call on the phone and began detailing his recent negative experience with the creation of his website in cold fusion. It kind of reminded me of this recent article. This business owner was already into his site development almost $50,000. The site was finally finished after 16 months of hounding his design team and then when the site launched, it was only seen by a select few who had the tools to view it. Not only could his clients not see it but it really gave the business a black eye in the PR department.
To complicate matters the site was not searchable and therefore unable to be found anywhere on-line. The only people that could find his site were those people this guy saw at family reunions and company parties that already knew him. Needless to say he was a bit ticked off. I don’t think he stabbed any member of his design team but it certainly sounded like they were off his Christmas card list in a big way.
Hiring a web design and Search Engine Optimization team starts with making sure that the team you are hiring is actually able to show you recent success, happy clients, corporate accoutability and a knowledge of how the process of design and SEO is actually supposed to work.
Unfortunately with the number contacts that we receive from our own online placement. I hear these kinds of stories way too often. The common theme with most of these contacts is that “I wish I would have found you before …”
Business owners!!! Whether you hire the web design teams and SEO specialists at Utah Web Services or not. Please make sure you get all the facts before you launch into a nightmare.
Good luck!
